The night before the Super Bowl is the annual election of that year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame class. The Class of 2019 has eight members http://www.jetsauthorizedshops…..lee-jersey , including former Jets center Kevin Mawae.Mawae was one of Bill Parcells’ biggest free agent signings with the Jets. The center came to New York from Seattle in 1998 and stayed until 2005. In the green and white, Mawae set the standard for center play in the league, earning six trips to the Pro Bowl as a member of the Jets. In six of his eight seasons, he was named to the AP’s First or Second All Pro team.Mawae’s signing began a run of excellence at the center position that lasted almost two decades. It continued the year after he left when the Jets drafted Nick Mangold in the first round.Over the last two decades, a number of people who had brief stints with the Jets have been elected to the Hall of Fame but were really known for their work with other teams. Ronnie Lott Bilal Powell Jersey , Art Monk, Brett Favre, Jason Taylor, and LaDainian Tomlinson might have played for the Jets, but they weren’t really Jets. Kevin Mawae was and will always be a Jet. One of our guys made it today Authentic Leonard Williams Jersey , and it is well-deserved.The other inductees this year will be new members of the Jets brief stint club Ty Law and Ed Reed along with Champ Bailey, Tony Gonzalez, Pat Bowlen, Gil Brandt, and Johnny Robinson. The NFL should be celebrating a couple of classic Conference Championship Games today. Instead most of the focus tomorrow will be on an egregious blown call. That was not called pass interference. It came on a critical third down late in the fourth quarter of a tie game between the Rams and the Saints. The Saints kicked a field goal to take the lead Youth Steve McLendon Jersey , but they would have been given a first down and been able to run out the clock before their field goal attempt had the play correctly been called pass interference. Instead the Rams were able to rally to kick a field goal that forced overtime and won it on a legendary 57 yard field goal in overtime. The AFC Championship Game was an overtime classic. New England defeated Kansas City 37-31 to advance to a third straight Super Bowl. The Chiefs stormed back from a 14-0 halftime deficit during a wild second half that had 38 points in the fourth quarter. The final 3:32 of regulation had four lead changes, and what would have been a game-clinching Chiefs interception was wiped off by a neutral zone infraction by Dee Ford.In a game that turned into a shootout, the coin toss proved decisive. New England won that toss and went 75 yards in 13 plays for the game-winning touchdown. Rex Burkhead scored from 2 yards out at 4:50 of the fifth quarter. The Patriots and Rams have met once before in the Super Bowl. That came in Super Bowl XXXVI when the Rams were in St. Louis. Just like then, the Rams entered the game with a high powered offense. That was the game that launched the Patriots dynasty. Seventeen years later can the Rams return the favor?
